What can't I do after aesthetic breast surgery?
Advice might differ on a case-by-case basis. Generally speaking no heavy lifting, pushing, pulling or cycling are allowed for a very strict 4 weeks after surgery. You can absolutely walk, try to walk a decent amount as being immobile during the post-operative period increases the chance of developing a so-called deep vein thrombosis. Should I apply special scar creams or gels?
After a satisfactory wound check, which is usually after 10 days, you can start massaging the scars. The act of massaging itself is most beneficial for active scars. In normal scars with a regular flat appearance I recommend you moisturise with whatever moisturiser works best for you personally. Do this twice a day. Sun protection with a total sun block SPF50 is key for as long as there is scar activity. You can assess scar activity by its blanchable redness,

Can I shower after surgery?
I usually recommend my patients to refrain from showering the first 48 hours after general anaesthesia as a precaution since I don't want you to feel dizzy or potentially pass out in the shower.
Showers, hairwash with shampoo and conditioner are allowed after face and neck lifts. Same applies for drainless tummy tucks or breast procedures as well as arm and thigh lifts or labiaplasties.Which bra should I wear after aesthetic breast surgery?
I recommend wearing a good front-close sports bra day and night as this is the best possible bandage to wear after aesthetic breast surgery. Refrain from wearing underwired bras for 6 weeks.
