SHOULD I APPLY SPECIAL SCAR CREAMS OR GELS?

In normal scars with a regular flat appearance Dr. Rotsaert recommends you moisturise with whatever moisturiser works best for you personally. Do this twice a day. Sun protection with a total sun block SPF50 is key for as long as there is scar activity. You can assess scar activity by its redness, Hypertophic or keloid scars warrant tailored treatments like scar creams, silicone patches or steroid injections. This will be prescribed during your follow-up visits with Dr, Rotsaert
